“One and done” closing for Atlas Holdings’ fifth flagship investment fund at hard cap of $6.45 billion

Atlas Holdings (“Atlas”) has announced the first and final close of its fifth flagship investment fund, Atlas Capital Resources V LP (“ACR V”). The fundraise was officially launched in October 2024 with the final close announced on May 5, 2025 at its hard cap with $6.45 billion in committed capital, inclusive of the GP commitment and its associated Principals’ Fund. The fund attracted strong support from long-standing investors and also welcomed many new high quality institutional investors from across the globe.

Founded in 2002 by Andrew Bursky and Tim Fazio, Atlas Holdings is a long-term, operations-oriented investor in manufacturing and distribution businesses within targeted industrial sectors. Central to Atlas’ strategy is its application of transactional skills in complex environments, including bankruptcies, restructurings, reorganizations and challenging corporate spin-offs, together with deep operational improvement capabilities and in-house specialized resources.

Atlas operates in sectors such as automotive supply, building materials, capital equipment, construction services, food manufacturing and distribution, metals processing, packaging, paper, power generation, printing, pulp, supply chain management and wood products. As of this closing, Atlas manages more than $16 billion of capital and currently owns and operates 27 companies, which together generate approximately $18 billion in revenues annually, employing more than 57,000 associates across more than 250 facilities worldwide.

The fundraise allows Atlas to continue pursuing its investment strategy of acquiring businesses whose value is being masked by some form of stress or complexity, then driving improvement in partnership with their  Leadership Teams and associates. This strategy has generated consistent risk-adjusted returns regardless of the business cycle.

Rede Partners is proud to have partnered with Atlas on this fundraise.
